What is Nuzlocke?

The Nuzlocke Challenge is a set of rules intended to create a higher level of difficulty while playing games. The Nuzlocke Pack is built on that premise when playing Felvargs!As a pack, our goal is to enter into Ulfrheim with nothing (or very nearly), and build our characters from the ground up. While there are some guidelines to follow in beginning your journey, we do our best to keep the game-play fun and engaging. We look forward to seeing your Felvargs out in the world!

Felvarg Qualifications

There are some requirements Felvargs must meet in order to qualify to join the pack. These qulifications are necessary to maintain an even playing field for all those involved in the game.

  • Your Felvarg must have less than 150 experience points total.

  • Your Felvarg may enter the game with a maximum of one (1) trait, and your Felvarg must have been born with the trait.

  • Your Felvarg may not have any tack applied when joining the game.

  • Your Felvarg may not have any companions applied when joining the game.

Essentially, your Felvarg should be a clean slate! The purpose of this pack is to challenge ourselves to build a Felvarg from nothing. This may mean not purchasing items to place on your Felvarg (from the Emporium or other players), only creating art yourself (or collaborating with others), and generally making your Felvarg's life more difficult than it needs to be...on purpose!

Adding & Removing Felvargs

Adding a Felvarg
Adding a Felvarg is super easy! Head over to our Pack Database page on Felvergs, and click the "Request Join" button on the right hand side (under the group icon). Select the Felvarg you would like to add, and submit! Once the Felvarg has been reviewed and is deemed eligible, they will be added to the pack.Removing a Felvarg
Sometimes our paths lead us elsewhere. To remove your Felvarg from the group, click on "Manage Characters" in the left hand menu on the Felvargs website. Select the Felvarg you would like to remove. Under the "Import Information" tab, you will see an option to remove your Felvarg from the pack. Select "Leave Pack" and confirm.Important Note! If you have removed a Felvarg from the pack, please post in Remove Felvarg channel on our pack discord, or message LastPluto directly so that we can mark your Felvarg's badge tracker as inactive.

So how do you play?

Generally, Nuzlocke challenges are played by setting your own difficulty! Some players may choose to exclusively tack their Felvargs with items that character finds, while others may tack their Felvarg with any tack any of their other Felvargs find. Some players may choose to never add traits or tack at all, truly throwing their Felvarg into the wild with no assistance. The level of difficulty is up to the player! As long as you're following the spirit of the game, all play styles are welcome.

It is encouraged to separate your Nuzlocke Felvarg's inventory from your standard inventory in order to properly track which items you have and how much currency that Felvarg has access to. We recommend using a spreadsheet to keep everything organized!

Pack Cache

The Pack Cache is an excellent place to throw useful items into that you may not need, but someone else could really use! This guide goes over donating to the pack cache, earning Nuzlocke "currency", and purchasing items!

Donating to the Pack

If you have items you have no use for, but would like to donate them for other players, a donation to the pack cache would be very appreciated! Good items to donate include tack, traits, companions, and items needed for Reputations!To Donate
Go to your cache, then select the Marketplace tab. Scroll down to "Transferring Items to Another User". Select the item and quantity you would like to donate to the pack. The user is 1942 - Nuzlocke.Once the items have been sent, you can post in the Pack Donation channel on our Discord for your AP. Once everything has been verified, your AP will be added to your total.You can check our pack cache here!

Activity Points

Activity Points (AP) are the Nuzlocke Pack "currency". By participating in pack activities and donating, you earn AP! AP can be used to purchase items from the pack cache.To redeem AP, go to the AP Redeem channel on our Discord. Submit the form, and we will verify the information. Once everything is confirmed, your new AP will be added to your total!

Earning AP

AP is earned in varying amounts based on the activity or donation.Activities only earn AP if the submission counts for Pack Points, so it must include other pack members to qualify.

Earning AP Through Activity

  • Pack submission you drew or wrote by yourself = 1 AP earned

  • Pack collaboration submission = 2 AP earned

Earning AP By Donating

  • Reputation Items and Scrolls = 1 AP earned

  • Marketplace Tack, Traits, Companions, and other items = 1 AP earned

  • Emporium Tack, Traits, Companions, and other items = 2 AP earned

Spending AP

To purchase an item from the pack cache, submit the form in the Cache Purchase channel on our Discord! Once it has been verified that you have the AP to purchase the item, the AP will be removed from your total, and the purchased item will be transferred to you on the Felvargs website.

Earning badges

Badges are fun pieces of art added to your Badge Tracker when complete a badge task! Essentially, badges are additional bragging rights for all the achievement chasers out there.You can click on each of the badges below to see their requirements. When you have completed the task with your Felvarg, pop over to our Discord and submit the form in the Badge Claim channel. Once everything has been verified, your Felvarg's Badge Tracker will be updated with your shiny new trophy!

Important Note!
Nuzlocke badges are not official Felvargs achievements. They will not appear on your Felvarg's official import on the website.
